  • Accomodation is priced from $250 per night most weeknights, and $500 per night most weekends, with a $250 cleaning fee applied to every booking.

    Rates are subject to change during school holidays and peak periods.

  • All bookings require a $1000 credit card pre-authorisation (hold placed on your credit card) as a security deposit. This pre-authorisation is automatically placed on your card 24 hours prior to your stay, and released within 48 hours of your stay, pending no damages.

  • At most times there is a 2-night minimum stay.

    During peak periods over summer here is a 4-night minimum stay.

  • Check-in is at 3.00pm

    Check-out is at 10.00am everyday except Sunday

    On Sundays only, we offer a late afternoon checkout time of 3.00pm, to make the most of the weekend!

    Early check-in or late check-out at other times is available upon request, subject to availability. Please email us at hello@silvermoonshack.com.

  • Bookings may be cancelled until 7 days before check-in for a full refund.

    If cancelled within 7 days of booking, 50% of the booking fee will be forfeited.

    If cancelled within 48 hrs of booking, 100% of the booking fee will be forfeited.

  • Bedroom 1 has a queen bed.

    Bedroom 2 has one single bed, and a full-size queen bed that folds out from the wall. This room could be shared by up to three children (two sharing the queen bed) or is also well suited to a couple and one child.

    Please advise us of the bed configuration you require at the time of booking, and we will ensure the fold-out bed is all set up for you on arrival.

    A portacot can be supplied upon request.

  • Gordon designed and built the fold down bed using a hydraulic engineering system - it is pretty amazing technology!

    It is a full size comfy queen bed with an inner-sprung 28cm deep mattress, on a slatted bed base, concealed in the wall of Bedroom 2.

    Our team will set this bed up for you if you require it.

  • Gordon designed and made almost all the furniture in the shack, including the kitchen cabinetry, green pantry cupboard, laundry cupboards with black hanging rail, queen size bed + in-built bedsides, storage unit in main bedroom, dining table, bathroom vanity unit and fold out bed.

    Gordon also made the sofa, with upholstery by Zenn Design.

    The dining chairs are by Thonet.

    The small striped side table is by Sarah Ellison.

    The Wood Fire is the Siena 750 by Living Fire.

    The outdoor dining table, outdoor benches + small timber step in bathroom are by Jati.

    The beanbag is from Linen Social.

    All tiles in the bathroom (wall + floor) are from Artedomus.

    All bathroom fittings are from Reece.

    All tapware is by Sussex via Reece.

    All towels are from Baina.

    The cosy doonas are from Abode Living.

    Bedlinen is from Ikea, woollen blanket from Curio Practice.

    The linen pendant over the dining table is from Hub General Store.

    Light over kitchen bench is the Gubi semi pendant from Surrounding.

    The Akari paper lamps in the main bedroom are from In Good Company.

    The wall lamp above couch is a vintage ‘Lampe de Marseille’ - available new from Cult.

    The art throughout the house is by May Wokka Chapman (via Martumilli artists), Lucy Roleff, Susan Simonini, Tais Rose Wae, Gemma Leslie, Marina Rolfe, David Neale, Tantri Mustika + Ella Reweti.

    The handcrafted ceramics in the house are by many local makers including Tantri Mustika, Ella Reweti, Lunedi, Benna co, Asobimasu (Kate Brewer), Sophie Harle and Belinda Wiltshire.

  • Absolutely! Silvermoon Shack is perfect for families with children.

    Bedroom 2 sleeps up to three people (1 single bed + 1 queen bed). A portacot can be supplied on request.

    The back garden is ideal for young children, with a lawn, cubby house, sandpit, swing set, and trampoline.

  • We're sorry, pets are not permitted at Silvermoon.

  • The driveway accommodates up to three cars. It is a council requirement that off-street parking be used by all guests.

  • Silvermoon is on a quiet residential street, please be respectful of our neighbours at all times.

    No parties or events.

    No schoolies.

    No smoking.

    It is a council requirement that outdoor areas not be used between 11pm and 7.00am.

  • Yes, Gordon does take on bespoke cabinetry and furniture projects for interior designers and private clients.
